Pre-purchase car inspection

You have found a used car and you cannot see what it is hiding. We come to it — at the seller, at a dealer, in another town — and email you the full report within 45 minutes.

The only service of its kind locally

You do not bring the car to us. We go to the car. One of our mechanics travels out with the testers and equipment from the workshop, checks it thoroughly, and tells you exactly what you are buying — before you hand over the money.

How it works

  1. 01Tell us where the car is and when you want it checked. We arrange access with the seller.
  2. 02Our mechanic travels to the car, with the testers and equipment from the workshop.
  3. 03Within 45 minutes of finishing, the full report lands in your inbox.

05What we check

What we check

  • 01Engine and transmission: cold start, noises, leaks, belts and timing
  • 02Computer diagnostics on LAUNCH EURO TAB 3 — live and stored codes across every module
  • 03Brakes, suspension, steering, bearings, joints
  • 04Bodywork: paint depth measured panel by panel, signs of repair, rust, panel gaps
  • 05Chassis and underbody, as far as can be seen without dismantling
  • 06Electrics, lights, sensors, dashboard warnings
  • 07Air conditioning: operation and pressures
  • 08Interior: wear against the stated mileage, controls and equipment tested
  • 09Tyres and wheels, uneven wear
  • 10Signs of flood or damp
  • 11Mileage: whether the dash, the modules and the car's actual condition agree
  • 12Road test
06What you get

What you get

A written report with photographs, every checked point recorded plainly. Faults are listed separately and split into what is urgent and what can wait. On request we add a cost estimate for the work found — the same quote we would give you if you had the repairs done here.

The report is useful two ways: it stops you buying a bad car, or it gives you concrete figures to negotiate the price down.

What an inspection cannot do

The check is visual and electronic, with nothing dismantled. We tell you the car's condition on the day we see it — we cannot guarantee how long a part will last from here, we cannot confirm service history unless the seller has the paperwork, and a well-executed mileage fraud can escape detection. We would rather you knew that upfront than believed you had bought a guarantee.

07Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take?
The check at the car takes around an hour, depending on the model and what we find. The report reaches you by email within 45 minutes of finishing.
Do I need to be there?
No. We arrange access directly with the seller. If you want to be there, all the better — the mechanic can show you what he found on the spot.
How far do you travel?
Bucharest and Ilfov as standard. For other counties ask us first: we will come, but travel is added.
Which makes do you inspect?
All of them. The same makes we repair in the workshop every day.
What documents do you need?
None from you. Just the address where the car is and a contact for the seller.
Will you inspect a car at a dealer?
Yes. A reputable dealer has no reason to refuse an independent check — and if they refuse, you have learned something useful.
Will you tell me whether to buy it?
We tell you what we found and what it would cost to put right. The decision stays yours, but you make it with figures in front of you rather than impressions.
Is the inspection valid for MOT or registration?
No. It is an assessment of the car's condition for a purchase, not an official document.
What does it cost?
It depends on the model and where the car is. Message or call us and we confirm the exact price before we travel.

Found a car and want to be sure?

Tell us the model and where it is. We confirm the price and book you in.
